Obama to be in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday

My story should be on the mother ship shortly, but here’s the scoop:

Democratic presidential frontrunner Barack Obama, D-Ill., will be traveling to Cape Girardeau on Tuesday afternoon to hold an economic roundtable.

Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., said the event will focus on “the losses that working people have suffered” under the Republican administration of President George W. Bush.

McCaskill plans to accompany Obama during his visit, which is tentatively slated for late Tuesday afternoon or early evening, she said.

Cape Girardeau just happens to be the hometown of the nation’s most famous conservative commentator, Rush Limbaugh, who’s gotten a lot of ink lately over his call for Republicans to cross over to vote in some state Democratic primaries for Obama’s rival, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.

I wonder if Michelle “We Must Lower The Bar” Obama will be accompanying her husband? I think her views, recently shared on the airwaves, would provide an interesting counter-point to a free maket discussion.

Marx, Engels and Lenin would be proud of Michelle Obama for espousing such views as an, “ever moving bar” when it comes to success.

Vice President names like Charlie Rose, Micheal Bloomberg, or Ted Turner come to mind. But they would not likely run. So you have another knowledgeable person in Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri.

I started a Draft Claire for Governor in which we had over 75 team captains statewide in 2003. She instead became a US Senator two years later. Claire McCaskill was a prosecutor in Kansas City, a single mom while serving as state representative for 3 terms and then a State Auditor. Her knowledge of local, state, and Federal levels of governments and how they work is extremely important. There has likely never been a vice presidential candidate which such a record of service.

She has become known as a center of the road legislator fighting for anti ear mark legislation and an accountability office for expenditures on the war. What she is most noticed for is that she has a pulse of the people that comes naturally and speaks out for the people when something is not in their best interest concerning government or important issues. Yes two inspiring candidates who bring out the best in people on the ticket sound real good.

for all of you republicans who proudly voted twice for the worst president in modern history, should take pause at your own judgement. obviously most of you don’t have a clue as to what makes a good president. maybe there should be a litmus test for you.
