State Rep. Robinson also withdraws; court appearance soon

State Rep. Scott Muschany, R-Frontenac, isn’t the only legislator who acted Tuesday to drop their re-election bid this fall.

So did state Rep. Brad Robinson, D-Bonne Terre, who faces hit-and-run charges for allegedly driving away after hitting a man with his pickup on Jan. 1.  His wife, Tara Robinson, stands accused of lying to police by saying she was the driver.

Brad Robinson’s next scheduled court appearance is Friday in St. Francois County Circuit Court.

According to the secretary of state’s Web site, Robinson withdrew his re-election bid shortly after 4 p.m. today.

Good for Brad. While I thought he was a decent legislator, his actions with the driving incident were bad. This will help the Democrats keep that seat.

What about that Democratic state senator who was caught using somebody else’s id at a casino? Any news on him?

Good for Brad? What he did on New Year’s Eve is UNFORGIVABLE! I understand that the word “allegedly” has to appear in the article, but he is caught on video switching seats with his wife and taking his sweet time doing so while the man he struck was laying in the road injured.

The fact that it took him this long to withdraw is amazing. Still no apology though.

Bzzzt. Wrong dummy. I’m in the 106th now represented by a guy that didn’t run over a guy on New Year’s Eve, Steve Tilley.

Recently on this blog, while joyfully trashing Mr. Robinson, you said you lived in the 107th.
Either your lyin’ now or you lied then.
Which is it?

Several years ago I was passed by Rep. Robinson doing nearly 80 in Pike County. I saw his plate and emailed him at the time. I told him I thought it was bad for a Mo. State Rep., especially since he had his plate on his truck, to be speeding. He said thanks for letting him know.

Stupid is as stupid does Forrest!
