The eagle has landed

President George W. Bush and Air Force One touched down about twenty minutes ago.

Political Fix box Jo Mannies was on the scene. Jo reports that Bush stepped off the plane to be greeted by Gov. Matt Blunt, St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and number of business people.

Notables include including former ambassador Stephen Brauer and his wife – they own Hunter Farms in west St. Louis County, where the president has stayed when in town — as well as Jeff Fox, CEO of Harbour Group and Dan Getman, VP of Pfizer Global Research.

The president shook hands, presented a volunteer award to a gentleman who had served with Americorp, and headed for a shuttle.

Cardinals manager Tony La Russa didn’t make it (are you supposed to stand up the president?) but will try to make the departure.

Way to prove what a classy guy you are, Rob!

Adam, it’s Stephen Brauer, not Crauer.

Fixed typo.

Also, deleted a post for foul language.
