Village law repeal heads to House

At about 4 a.m., after negotiations in the office of Senate President Pro Tem Michael Gibbons, the filibuster over the village law repeal ended. The deal called for the emergency clause to fail and Senators complied. The bill passed 33-0. The emergency clause failed 30-3.

Sen. Jack Goodman said the House agreed to take the bill up tomorrow.
