Early Obama supporter Triplett elated by victory
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
St. Louis Alderman Kacie Starr Triplett — one of the area’s earliest Barack Obama supporters — said today that she is “ecstatic” about the Illinois senator’s victory last night.
“He has restored faith and hope in our political process and brought countless numbers of young people into political action,” said Triplett, 27.
Triplett joined the local Obama campaign in her first year at City Hall. But less than two months before the Missouri primary, her father and chief political adviser — union organizers John “Big John” Triplett — died unexpectedly.
Recently, Triplett was elected a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Assertive
Curious
Idealistic
Beautiful
She’s got it all. We need more elected officials like Alderwoman Triplett.
