Kinder, fresh off playing governor, to run in Komen race

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

When Gov. Matt Blunt was in Canada this week, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder made sure his role as acting governor was more than just a supporting part, signing bills and even calling in the national guard. Pink Ribbon

Apparently, he’s not out of fuel yet.

The state’s second-in-command announced that he will be running downtown tomorrow in the annual Komen Race for the Cure.

If you go to the race tomorrow morning, don’t forget — parking is free.

Kinder reminds me of Dudley Moore and Arthur, the movie. Dudley, to sir john gielgud: “I’m going to take a bath, now”, :I’ll alert the media, sir;”

“Playing governor?” Playing governor is what they do at Boys’/Girls’ State. Serving as governor in the absence of the governor would make a better headline, don’t ya think Jake?
