McCain announces Mo campaign director

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain has hired Dave Hageman of Ellisville to oversee the candidate’s campaign in Missouri.

From 2003 to last year, Hageman had been executive director of the state House Republican Campaign Committee.

He currently is executive director of Victory Enterprises-Missouri, a campaign consulting firm.

McCain also is slated to begin running TV ads in the state, as of Saturday.

Two thoughts:
1. Great pick! Hageman is super-talented and knows how to win all over Missouri.
2. This is a good signal from the McCain camp that they recognize the importance of St. Louis County. He will do very well (better than either Steelman or Hulshof) among County swing voters, which will be key to countering Obama’s huge City vote.

I’m a GOP guy, but don’t think Hageman can hold off Obama in MO. Turnout in the college towns and urban areas will be too much. Dave’s a Jetton tool anyway….

Hageman is very talented and is a rising star within the Republican party in Missouri. Look for Dave to be the go to guy in future election cycles.
