Web Watch: Mr. Thurman goes to Columbia
Steve Smith, proprietor of the Royale, a pub on South Kingshighway that is a city political hangout (particularly for Democrats), is doing some video production for MTV’s Street Team ‘08. Smith is the chosen videographer for Missouri.
His latest video shows one St. Louis man’s quest to become a delegate to the DNC in August. Rob Thurman, apparently with Smith in the car, went to the MODEM convention in Columbia last month trying to get himself a spot in the delegation to Denver.
Thurman failed in that attempt; he admits he didn’t really understand the rules but seems a little disillusioned with the outcome nonetheless. In the end, he suggests getting involved has to start in your own community.
