Obama event to be at the Renaissance; McCain TV ads in Mo. begin Saturday

The campaign for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has yet to confirm it, but Political Fix has obtained a copy of the invitation that verifies the Illinois senator will be in town next Monday.

As we’d been told earlier, it’s for a fundraiser.

The VIP reception begins at 5 p.m. at the Renaissance Grand Hotel downtown,
827 Washington Avenue.

Reception tickets: $2,300.

Tickets for the general reception (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) are $500 apiece.

Supporters who raise $10,000 to $50,000 receive titles ranging from “host” to “chair”.

Meanwhile, the national press is reporting that the presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, will begin running TV ads in Missouri on Saturday. Unclear if those ads will air in St. Louis, which is the most expensive TV ad market in the state.

McCain’s campaign should use paid advertising in newspapers to get their message out. Is it news a campaign is advertising on TV?

Where are the snarky comments from Democrats that have attacked Bush’s supporters. Suddenly pretty darn quit. That’s because the Democrats have had all the money all along. Obama has raised $300 million to McCain’s $95 mill. So who are fat cats?

A CENTRIST,

Go research where Obama’s money is coming from in comparison to McCain’s, maybe then you will understand that there are more power in numbers than in few big elephants. Whew!
