Obama returns to Missouri, with stop in Independence!! McCain to be back soon as well!!!
The presidential tug of war over Missouri continues, with presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama returning to the state on Monday.
He’s to be in Independence, hometown of favorite son and former President Harry S Truman.
In fact, the morning campaign event will be at the Truman Memorial Building. No more public details are available, other than doors open to the public at 9 a.m.
Free tickets are required, the campaign says, and are available at Obama’s campaign Web site.
The visit comes less than three weeks after he was in St. Louis, and less than two weeks after his Republican rival — Sen. John McCain — was in Missouri.
UPDATE:
BY THE WAY, rumor has it — from a reliable source — that McCain will be back in Missouri, and possibly in the St. Louis area, VERY soon!!!

Two exclamation points? How about some more Mccain coverage. Stop the slant, POST!
Two exclamation points? Is this a newspaper or a MySpace page? You Barry honks are fifteen shades of creepy.
The two exclamation points are a bit extreme and slanted. Remember that this shows up as ”news” on the front page of the web site, not a blog posting. Headlines should be held to the same standard as what would appear on the front page of the paper.
The wingnuts posting here need to get a grip on their extremist reptile brains. Exclamation points? Slant? Sheesh. Why don’t you creeps get us into another needless war, or destroy the economy, or anything else conservatives excel at, and stop looking for boogiemen (or “slant”) under the bed?
Two exclamation points don’t imply slant necessarily…but I doubt I would ever see the following from the Post: “McCain returns!!”
Who cares??!!
Independence is not St. Louis and Barack Obama is not Harry Truman. Truman had guts; he dropped the bombs on Japan to end WWII, saved Greece from being swallowed by the Soviets, and committed troops to Korea to stop a communist invasion. Wardog, will you call Truman’s war unnecessary?
Obama would wet himself given the same choices to make so before the parallels between he and Truman start flying, let’s really think about how Obama will face the tough choices if he is in office.
Are we getting a little testy?
Too bad Harry is not around—because he would sure the heck be there!

The slant is likely not intentional, and I doubt they even realize it, but stu had it exactly right: you would never see a headline that said “McCain Returns!!”
Jo, be sure to ask Obama is he’s comfortable and would like another pillow.
Gotta love the Post-Disgrace!!!
Bring back the Globe and REPUBLICAN spin!!!
