Political “hard” ball
Earlier this month the young Democrat and Republican organizations of the St. Louis area held a charity softball game in Soulard. The two groups put aside any differences for a good bit of fun that also raised several thousand dollars for Cool Down St. Louis.
YD prez Martin Casas and YR prez James Knowles both also took time to talk a bit of strategy for the fall elections. This year, we’re seeing an incredible uptick in youth voting patterns and mobilization by both Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama will likely need the help of the local youth organizations.
