Three candidates run for Kirkwood council seat

Three candidates are running in Kirkwood on Aug. 5 to fill a vacancy on the city council left by the death of Councilwoman Connie Karr in a shooting rampage at a council meeting on Feb. 7. The winner in the special election will fill a two-year unexpired term.
They are, in ballot order:
> Bob Sears, 308 Altus Place, a member of the park board;
> Michael Moore, 311 Attucks Street, a write-in candidate for mayor last April.
> Paul W. Ward, 224 South Geyer Road, a former city council member.
