War protesters target McCain speech

A small group of war protesters showed up at the Missouri State University student union to protest Sen. John McCain’s support for continuing the war in Iraq. Some of the protesters also rebuked what they considered sabre-rattling with Iran.

While the demonstration had evaporated by the time McCain’s speech wrapped up, one man stuck around to “wish the senator well” as he put it.

That’s pretty awesome that they have a Peace Network of the Ozarks! I spoke with a lady in Springfield today who said that Obama should really visit down there because people are not quite so gung-ho Rebpulican as they used to be.

So true, Adam S, and many down there aren’t as lock step as some. I will repeat the question Johnny, perhaps your wives drift cars have impaired your hearing…when are you going to admit you will institute a military draft to keep world occupations going? In December? Or will you wait until well into 2009 before literally dropping that bomb?

Slick Johnny Mc oughta explain why we went into and stay in Iraq and leave the Taliban and al Qaeda alone in Afghanistan where they have retaken 10% of the country, after attacking us on 9/11.

Slugger and Tim, I’m curious as to what your threshold is for military involvement by the US?

I’d like to know where you got the mis-information about McCain calling for a draft? He does NOT believe a military draft is necessary.
