Black Trade Unionists endorse Wright-Jones
State Rep. Robin Wright-Jones, who’s locked in a combative contest for the state Senate against State Rep. Rodney Hubbard, announced today that she has been endorsed by the St. Louis Chapter of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists.
In a statement, the union said, in part:
”The voters of the Fifth Senatorial District and all St. Louisans deserve strong and progressive Democratic leadership - and Robin Wright-Jones is the right person for the job.”
“Robin has a 100 percent voting record in support of workers and their families, and we all need her to represent us in the Missouri Senate…”
“Robin Wright-Jones has shown her commitment to putting working families and seniors first - as opposed to big-money special interests that only want to make another dollar by using eminent domain to take people’s homes, destroying our schools, ours jobs and communities…”

Whoop deedoo. Wrote her about an issue a year ago. Got no response. Typical rhetoric from a fringe group. Black Trade Unionists need to be asking Congressman Clay why he’s not opposed the Pentagon’s award of the tanker contract to Northrup Grumman.
“Robin Wright-Jones has a 100 percent voting record in support of workers…”, but take a look at Robin’s so-called progressive voting record, and she ironically was absent at several votes that had to do with gay rights. Then, compare this to Rodney Hubbard’s consistent attendance record on voting.
Notice how this endorsement has little hard evidence that varifies why Robin is the “right person for the job.” If by “right” they mean an individual who has no record of passing a single piece of legislation, and who is lacking endorsements from key political figures in St. Louis, than, yes, she is right for the job.
