Gov. Matt Blunt’s press secretary, Jessica Robinson, sent out a statement this afternoon praising Judge Richard Callahan’s ruling that tossed out a lawsuit filed by an investigative team set by Attorney General Jay Nixon to probe the handling of e-mails by the governor’s office.

Jefferson City Bureau Chief Virginia Young reports the details on the mother ship, and notes that the suit may be refiled to comply with Callahan’s dictates.

Blunt’s statement says, in part:
“The court has made an excellent decision in dismissing this political lawsuit filed by Jay Nixon’s political operatives.

“This political lawsuit accuses the governor of actions he did not take, it accuses the governor of actions that even if true would not be a violation of the law and it accuses the governor of actions that did not occur.  In fact, it could be dismissed for any of these reasons and should Jay Nixon or his political operatives consider a similar lawsuit we stand ready to make all of these arguments for yet another dismissal….”

What Blunt doesn’t say - and what is perhaps the most politically important point here - is that Nixon is accusing Blunt of doing exactly what Nixon himself does. According to the reports I’ve read here, Nixon hasn’t been saving e-mails either. His hypocrisy here is absolutely shocking.

There’s an opening on the Missouri Supreme Court with Judge Stephen Limbaugh’s move to the federal bench. Richard Callahan for Missouri Supreme Court! (He’s a Democrat, but of course we have a Non-Partisan Court Plan).

The whole issue was a bunch of nonsense. Nobody but politicals cared anyway. The issue was huge waste of taxpayer money for attempted political gain. Boring!

What Blunt doesn’t say is that it only means the petition must be refiledadding the Attorney General to the suit or in the name of the individual only. This decision means nothing to prove or disprove any of the claims in the suit.

Personally I think it is disgraceful that the PD and other media outlets such as the AP which grossly underreports the news along with the PD because they are too lazy. Time after time I call them to find out why info is not being reported and they all act like clueless idiots. But boy they sure look like big news sluths now going after Blunt’s e-mails. They are such hypocrites and I am especially ticked that they are using precious financial resources to get what they want. As a Missouri taxpayer, I request that the media pay for what they want. I have never seen these sources dig deep for news anywhere except Blunt’s e-mails.

Do any of us save all of our E-Mails?, I think not, if we did our computers would moan and groan with overload and we would never get anything done.
