Blunt still has $1.2 million in account

Gov. Matt Blunt continued the process of refunding over-contribution-limit donations this quarter, and his campaign account ended the quarter with $1.2 million in the bank.

For the quarter, Blunt earned about $65,000 in interest on his various certificates of deposit, and made $1.4 million in disbursements, mostly in contribution refunds.

As part of the campaign’s refund process, it restated how much money the campaign has taken in during the election cycle. In Blunt’s most recent report, the campaign reported about $7.6 million in total election cycle contributions. The new report drops that figure to $6.7 million by restating many previous donations significantly.
