Cedric the Entertainer stumping for Hubbard

Cedric the Entertainer, known for his hilarious “Barbershop” movies, is to headline a “roast” tonight for state Rep. Rodney Hubbard, who’s competing against Rep. Robin Wright-Jones for the 5th District state Senate seat.
Hubbard’s event is at the Starlight Room, 8370 North Broadway. Also on tap: Eric Rhone.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show slated to start at 8 p.m. Tickets begin at $10, organizers say.
