Hulshof raises nearly $1.5 million

U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof is the first of the Republican primary candidates to post campaign donation numbers today, coming in with just under $1.5 million raised this quarter and $1.1 million on hand.
Hulshof spent almost $900,000 this quarter. His campaign reports no debt. In fundraising prowess for the quarter, the performance puts Hulshof about a quarter of a million dollars behind Attorney General Jay Nixon. But Nixon has a substantial lead in terms of cash on hand.
