Hulshof-Steelman forum to be held in Brentwood, local organizers say

The Clayton and Missouri River Republican township organizations reported Wednesday night that they are jointly holding a forum next Tuesday that will feature U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof and state Treasurer Sarah Steelman, the party’s two chief candidates for governor .
Political Fix has yet to confirm the participation with the campaigns of either candidate.
According to a township official, the forum is open to the public and the press. It is to begin at 7 p.m. at the Brentwood Community Center and Ice Rink, 2505 S. Brentwood Boulevard in Brentwood.

How can this organization have a forum when neither of the candidates that are suppose to be there have said they are attending?
