McCain fundraising event set for 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hunter Farms

As of Sunday night, there have been no further details about Tuesday’s planned campaign stop here by presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

According to his Website, which confirms what we reported here a week ago, the one for-certain event is a fundraising reception and dinner at Hunter Farms, the St. Louis County estate of Stephen and Kimmy Brauer.

The reception begins at 5 p.m. The dinner — dubbed a “victory dinner” — slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Ticket prices range from $2,300 a person (solely for the dinner) to $57,000 per couple (raise or contribute).

The private reception price is $28,500 per couple (raise or contribute), while the photo op is $10,000 per couple (raise or contribute).

The fundraiser is a joint event raising money for McCain and the Republican National Committee.

That sounds like just my kind of dinner, as long as they don’t let any of those elitist Democrats in.

and you thought the price of gasoline was high! Dinner, a high five and a picture can set you back $31,800!!! But folks who have that kind of money for an evening out don’t worry about $4.00 a gallon for gas, now do they?

Christina - do you mean the Democrats who go to NObama fundraisers for $28,000 a person also? Funny how selective you are in your criticism.

Selective about her criticism…? The article was about McCain - you idiot. I’m sure Obama’s events are similar in price - and that’s sick, too (as is the gap between the ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’).
Luckily, that InBev sale will ease the blow of the high prices - and at the home of the former ambassador to Belgium… Can’t beat that.
