Most Political Fix regulars already have seen this weekend’s installment of the latest Post-Dispatch/KMOV political poll, conducted by Research 2000.
Sunday’s paper detailed how Missouri voters feel about national issues and the presidential contest. Monday’s installment will focus on state issues and candidates.
Our poll showed Democrat Barack Obama with a slight edge, when it came to the poll participants’ preferences for president.
And yes, I know about the latest Rasmussen Poll, that showed Republican John McCain slightly ahead. That poll, by the way, used automated questioners (so does Survey USA), which some experts discredit.
Research 2000 uses live people to conduct the poll.
Anyway, you’re welcome to comment. Love to hear your thoughts. You can even bring up other polls (Anyone seen the new Newsweek poll?)
As my story today emphasized, a poll in July doesn’t mean the leader will win in November.
(If you may recall, we had Democrat Hillary Clinton leading in January in Missouri’s Feb. 5 primary. We all know how THAT turned out.)
