Steelman finally shows expected infusion of Rex Sinquefield cash

You knew old Rex Sinquefield couldn’t stay out of the governor’s race. And you knew that when Treasurer Sarah Steelman started talking about phasing out the St. Louis earnings tax and undoing the ethanol mandate Rex couldn’t be far behind. (Despite Steelman’s protests otherwise).

Sure enough, in the last filing before the Aug. 5 primary, Steelman’s report shows an infusion of cash from two sources: a $200,000 loan from herself, and a little more than $25,000 from committees connected to Sinquefield.

The Sinquefield committees, various forms of “Missourians for Tax Reform” and “My Job My Wage” each gave maximum $1,350 contributions.

By Sinquefield standards, this is chump change.

Oracle…

That’s an understatement.

Rex gives that kind of money to his paper boy as a Chrismas Bonus.

No surprise that the Steelmans are forced to fund their own attacks on a fellow republican. It is to Kenny Hulshof’s credit that he has refused to bring up the Steelmans past. Anyone who spends five-minutes with Sarah and Kenny will see just how clear the choice is. Kenny should win this race hands down.

It seems almost everyday there is some other comment about where Rex put his money. Who cares! Good for him, but why are people so overly concerned? He is putting his money into people he supports. He also puts millions into mny non-political issues he supports.
Steelmen does speak about the earnings tax and the ethanol mandate, just shows shes a smart woman. WHy wouldn’t Rex support her?

You think Jay Nixon won’t bring up Sarah’s questionable past cozy personal relationships with fellow legislators in Jeff City? He will blow her away with this issue.

I have become so disgusted with Steelman’s ads against Hulshof that she turns my stomach at the mere mention of her name. Her whining is like a finger on a chalk board, and her attacks on a fellow Republican show exactly what her true character really is. Hulshof has represented the 9th Congressional District with dignity and professionalism, and we can honestly say we could proudly claim him as our governor. She, on the other hand, has not gained our respect and admiration. Far from it!

I would be surprised if this is all Rex does in the Governor’s Primary.

Totally Disgusted,
Sarah is not the one whining, that would be Hoslhoff, then Holshoff turns right around and attacks her. I was going to vote for Kenny, until I realized the only thing he does is talk about himself. I am tired of Politicians talking about themselves, I met Sarah on her bus tour the other day, and I can tell she is in it for the people.

Yeah Huolshlofhh has represented the 9th well if the 9th loves wasteful government spending, record setting deficits, illegal immigrants taking MO jobs, and the mating habits of the phayres monkey. (He voted to study that too)
