Steelman fundraising tanks this quarter

Apparently, all the endorsements in the Republican primary did mean something.

Treasurer Sarah Steelman just filed her quarterly fund-raising report and it pales in comparison to the other gubernatorial candidates. Steelman raised $289,000 this quarter, and unlike last quarter, there was no financial bailout from her husband, attorney David Steelman. Last quarter the Steelman’s lent the campaign $500,000.

By comparison, Kenny Hulshof raised $1.4 million this quarter and Democrat Jay Nixon raised $1.75 million.

Bye bye, Sarah! It’s time to get out of the way so our nominee can focus on the general election. Or are you going to do like Hillary and drag it on long after it is over?

Nick- I love how you think. Keep the best candidate you have off the ballot. The way Washington has been running the country with Bush at the helm and Hulshof’s 95% voting record with Bush? Can you say OVER

It’s going to take more than focus for Hulsof to win. Hulsof is tied to a deplorable congress and Franklin Delano Bush. Without SARAH STEELMAN the choice is the lawyer from Jeff City v. the lawyer from DC. In case you missed it, the Republic is in some tough economic times, in large part due to FDB and congress. I suppose one or the other of the lawyers can file a motion or sue someone to get us out of this MESS.

Nick, you need to think before you speak.

I agree with Nick. Just listen to the two candidate’s vision for Missouri and it becomes a clear choice for Hulshof.

If Steelman had been “ordained” from the start by the GOP machine the fundraising figures would be reversed.

The ethanol mandate issue is huge and will begin to make a difference . It draws a clear distinction between the three candidates. Nixon and Hulshof both support the taxpayer handouts to special interests and Steelman alone has the guts to buck the system.

The “vision” from Nixon and Hulshof is more bowing to special interests, misuse of government power and fewer truly conservative free-market solutions.

Sarah is the only real man running in this race.

You’re right, Sailor. Maybe the lawyers could sue someone to get out of the mess; after all, Sarah opposed any law that would have reformed the way they do business. Kenny’s been a supporter of tort reform, but hey, what do I know? I just do research.
