Though Brock Olivo’s campaign for Congress has stayed away from television advertising, this weekend he hit the air — literally — in an attempt to get supporters to the polls tomorrow. Brock Olivo

The former Mizzou football star has commissioned a fleet of planes trailing “VOTE OLIVO” banners to fly over the Ninth District heading into Tuesday’s Republican primary.

“Even an old running back like me,” Olivo says in a campaign update e-mail, “knows that sometimes you have to go to the air to get to the end zone.”

What a riot. Well, at least he’s going out with a bang.

Johnson once said of Ford that his problem was that he had played too much football without a helmet. Despite many misgivings as to his presidency especially his forgiveness of Nixon, Ford was a good legislator and decent President and in hind site, he was wrong to pardon ole Tricky Dick.

It’s been an interesting race in the 9th Congressional District. While I know so little about Olivo, must say anyone but one issue and yes man Onder.

Nick, I wonder if you’re the Onder staffer rousing such negativity out of his camp? Nick, I wonder if you really think the negative angle will get your guy elected? Nick, it’s no wonder your camp went so negative so early…you won’t be a winner this time.

Brock Olivo stands for what we need more of today. His integrity has never been compromised throughout this race and it seems like the people are going with him. He’s got my vote, and it was sealed when Onder and Luetkemeyer showed their true colors. Olivo is the choice.

Brock Olivo brings to the table all the things I not only want to see in an elected official, but what I want to see in young people today, what I want to see with the people I do business with, and what I want to see in my family. His involvement in this race and politics in general is a huge gain for the rest of us. He is honest, smart, successful, young, and energetic. He is what the GOP needs to energize its base! As a resident of the 9th district, I can’t imagine a better person to represent me anywhere, not just in Congress. I will once again be a proud voter tomorrow when I cast the vote for Brock Olivo.

Is Brock Olivo going to vote this time around or is he going to abstain again?

Wow Didymus, why are you so hateful? Jealousy? Envy? Why don’t you just relax or try to do something positive and stop the drain from you and others like you on an already compromised political machine? Geez, it’s time to change this tune.

And no one has used the “Hail Mary” analogy?
