Behind the scenes: A trip down media lane
DENVER — You may have heard about the changing media landscape affecting the Fourth Estate — costs are up, budgets are tight, and everything is online.
How does that translate to the Democratic Convention in Denver, perhaps the biggest political event since the dawn of the Twitter age?
Take a trip with us down media lane — here’s looking at you, GQ.


Here is what I learned from this video:
1) The Post-Dispatch has a video camera and not enough to do.
2) Your “spartan” assigned space in an air-conditioned tent has five chairs, one of which may have been borrowed/pilfered. When does a hard-working reporter have time to sit down at a national political convention? At least Jo Mannies was on the move.
