Missouri Democrats have trumpeted a wave of “Campaign for Change” branches around the state to help presumptive nominee Barack Obama.

Now, it’s the GOP’s turn, who today announced “Victory 2008″ offices around the state to benefit their candidate, John McCain.

Victory headquarters will be on Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City, with divisions in Maryland Heights,  St. Peters, Joplin, Springfield and Cape Girardeau.

State GOP director Jared Craighead, who addressed reporters in a conference call today, said in a release that additional offices will be opened in “key areas across the state as needed.”

They are needed everywhere. The GOP brand has never been lower and it’s going to take a lot of lying and ugly campaigning - on TV and in the field - to mitigate that.

Will the offices provide information about McCain or will they provide information about Obama? The ads that the GOP and McCain are running seem to be only about Obama.

There is no compelling reason to vote for four more years of George Bush’s policies so there is no compelling case to make for McCain. His only hope is for people to think Obama is TOO popular to be President. Presidents should be hated! Like George Bush!

George Bush’s heroic leadership in the face of Russia’s invasion of Georgia has really taught me about his ability to save lives.

Boy AJH, I’m glad you admitted you hate George Bush. It makes it easier to debate with you. Let’s see…I bet you hate him because you wish we had more terrorist attacks against our assets throughout the world (as we had for 30 years prior to his presidency). I bet you wish that Hussein and his henchmen would have continued to rape women and execute thousands of people (they probably were polluters anyway). Perhaps you hate having your phone tapped? Maybe you just hated him bombing the levees during Katrina? I think it must might be because he has made MILLIONS off of big oil by allowing them to gouge consumers with their 3% profit. (He’s going to sure retire wealthy!) I don’t blame you…your life has probably been so miserable when unemployment was the lowest in decades or housing starts the highest.

Yep…I can see why you hate him so.

I never said I hated him. I just meant how in this country and around the world he is detested like no national leader with the possible exceptions of Robert Mugable and Vladimir Putin. So to be fair, those are two leaders I can name who are less popular than George Bush. He isn’t the most hated. But for leading a democracy, he’s pretty far in the lead.

Thanks!

Cue the chirping crickets. They could probably save a little money, and with the economy in the tank they will want to, by having the leases terminate at midnight on Halloween. Our (second) long national nightmare is almost over.

Hats off to Jared Craighead and Emily at the MRP for pulling this off. Whoever thought a couple could work so closely together and put such a great thing together. I know there are doubters out there about the MRP but this folks is simply amazing!

Great work you two and best of luck as you continue to move foward togehter!
