How to get tickets for McCain O’Fallon rally
The John McCain campaign Friday afternoon announced how to get free tickets for the GOP presidential candidate’s O’Fallon rally next Sunday, Aug. 31.
From noon to 5 p.m. tomorrow (Sat. Aug. 23), tickets will be available at various offices across the St. Louis area and other parts of Missouri.
The St. Louis area locations open Saturday will be at 3960 Mexico Road, St. Peters; 851 West Terra Lane, O’Fallon; 921 Fee Fee Road, Maryland Heights; 6124 South Lindbergh Boulevard, south St. Louis County, and 1202 West Fifth Street, Washington, Mo.
If you wish, you can reserve a ticket to be picked up at one of the offices via McCain’s website or by calling 314-667-4411. Any tickets left over will be distributed through some of the offices beginning Monday; details are on the McCain website.
The Aug. 31 rally will begin at 4 p.m.; doors will open at 2. The campaign confirmed that McCain will be joined on stage by former Govs. Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, two of his former rivals for the GOP nomination. Also on hand will be country music performer John Rich.
The event will be at the T.R. Hughes Ballpark at 900 T.R. Hughes Blvd., the home of the River City Rascals minor league baseball team.
The St. Charles County McCain coordinator, Tom Kuypers, says he’s hoping for a turnout of about 10,000 people.

Maybe it is those missing emails and Karl Rove’s war chest that stands ready tor your grubby little fingers that is turning folks off of your mumbling little self. I am glad to see you toned down that bitchy little repub voiceover girl who sounded so self righteous, accusatory and whiny in your ads.
My family of 6 and friend’s family of 4 will be driving in for at least an hour to attend the rally! Now that Palin is in the race…who knows how many more women will come with families in tow!!!!
Since we live in west Illinois, it would have been nice to have tickets available over here somewhere……we’re not all Obama fans just because we live in Illinois. Anyway, we can’t get tickets as they’re no longer available and we (4) wanted to travel the distance to see/hear him and his excellent VP choice. My husband, who is a retired Air Force Officer, is a contributor to John McCain. We wanted to help encourage him and his running mate on Sunday, August 31.
