Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, himself running as something of a No. 2, applauded John McCain’s decision to pick Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a running mate.Peter Kinder

“This is indeed a historic day for our Republican party,” Kinder said in a statement today. “Gov. Palin’s integrity, strong pro-life record and her continued stance on energy independence makes her the perfect choice to be our next vice president.”

Did he come up with that on his own? Very good job.

He ought to worry about his own election. Page is coming on strong!

On the day John McCain, with a history of cancer, turns 72, the republicans choose a person with 1.5 years of state government experience to be their number 2. Nice.

Kinder makes a neccesary public comment while realizing McCain has already thrown in the towel before the convention even starts. The Democrats (especially women who are insulted by McCains naive political trickery) will come out in force while most Republicans stay home…
Kinder… and many other Republicans will go down with the ship too.

Garrison, the only “naive political trickery” going on in this race is Obama. Two years in the US Senate, and HE is ready? Every Republican I know is very excited about this pick. McCain has plenty of experience, but shaky conservative credentials. Palin has impeccable conservative credentials, she’s attractive and well spoken, and she stood up to the corrupt “good old boys” that have run Alaskan politics into the ground - and won. She’s the perfect person for the VP position - and she’ll have plenty of experience to be President if McCain, at 76, decides to quit after one term.

Nick…How many people did McCain ask who said:
“No-way… what, end up like another Joe Leiberman,”
before he had to settle on a 44 year old pro-union, pro-woman’s lib, family abandoning, anti-corporate, PTA mom who was mayor of a small frozen and deserted town of 6,500 when Joe Biden was serving his 3rd term in the U.S. Senate?

Let’s see…she fired a guy because he wouldn’t let her get rid of her ex-brother-in-law, hasn’t proposed or passed any prolife legislation in Alaska, and wnats to tear upo ANWR for more oil and gas for the guys what elected her, and gave $2 million to mcCain last month!

That’s KKKarl Rove and the K Street cronies coming through, again!

All of which proves, one again, John McCain is STLL too ignorant to be President!

While I think Gov Palin was a great choice I have to wonder, did Kinder do his statement like he does most of the others, after everyone else. When was the last time he had an origional thought. Even his bike ride was stolen from Blunt. Ohhhhhhh, maybe Palin knows how to ride a bike. Kinder, I am a life long Republican but there is just one Dem I am voting for this time, Page. If you were worring about those who the Lt. Governor is supposed to worry about and not some bike ride, you would have my vote, you always did in the past. There are many veterans like me leaving you.
