McCaskill gets warm reception among former Clinton backers
DENVER –Claire McCaskill just spoke at a forum called “Unconventional Women.” If there were any hard feelings among supporters of Hillary Clinton, it wasn’t evident in this forum, as attendees gave McCaskill - an early and ardent Obama supporter - standing ovations.
McCaskill, 55, cracked jokes about the Senate, saying she feels young there - “And I’m no spring chicken.”
She said equal pay for women should be a top priority in the coming year, which elicited enthusiastic applause. She also recounted how she was once told she was “too blonde” for politics.

Last I checked, Claire made just as much as all the other Junior Senators.
Amazedbythelunacy–we, in the Democratic party select our legislators to work for us not for themselves, and not all of us do get equal pay for equal work.
I suppose, given all the bribery and lobbyist scandals over the past few years, though, that such concern for the electorate might seem to be a foreign concept to anyone who has been watching the (until 2006 predominantly Republican) congress over the past eight years.
HA! Now, Kenny Hulshof is “too blonde” for politics!
“…we, in the Democratic party select our legislators to work for us not for themselves…”
