Missouri to have Monday co-honor to nominate McCain for prez

ST. PAUL –Most of Monday’s Republican convention business may be cancelled or curtailed, but as of Sunday night, Missouri will have a part of one key proceeding:

Formally nominating Sen. John McCain for the Republican nomination.

According to Jared Craighead, the procedure involves five states, including Missouri. The other states involved also are believed to be swing territory.

Although Monday’s public schedule has been curtailed, many of the social events are still slated to go on — but some will include fund-raising efforts for the Gustav victims.
