DENVER — While most of the Missouri Delegation was watching from the back of the Pepsi Center, the party’s nominee for governor — Jay Nixon — made his first appearance.
And he was a lot closer to the action.
Nixon was watching the second night of convention activities from a spot on the convention floor with his wife, Georganne, behind a bay of cameras. Rather than special treatment, it could be that there were simply no seats left with the rest of the delegation.
Either way, it’s actually unclear who’s getting a better view — while the Missouri section is in the far back of the arena, the incline, some delegates have said, provides an advantageous angle to see the stage. And the seats are softer than those on the floor.
Nixon arrived in Denver after joining Barack Obama in Kansas City earlier in the day.
