Osmonds: Apparently a little bit Republican, too
The region’s Republican Central Committees have announced that they are jointly holding a picnic in September that will feature the Osmond Brothers.
The Osmonds will headline the gathering on Sunday, September 21 from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Jefferson Barracks Veteran’s Memorial Amphitheater in south St. Louis County.
According to the announcement, picnickers also will be entertained by the local country group Pearl Heart, which made the finals of this year’s NBC hit show “Nashville Star.”
U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof, the state GOP’s nominee for governor, and the rest of the party’s statewide ticket has been invited.
So is the party’s presumptive nominee for president, Sen. John McCain, although the announcement doesn’t indicate that he has RSVPed.
St. Louis County Councilman John Campisi is to serve as the picnic’s Master of Ceremonies.
Says the announcement: “The picnic features free admission, parking and entertainment with food, beverages, arcade games and GOP merchandise available. The event will end with a fireworks display from Twilight Fire and Illusions.
“While admission is free, pre-registration is required. To register, people can call 636-947-4911 or go online at www.stlcountygop.org.”

TYPO ALERT :
that should have read
Bug up yer butt, not but …
Is a signed loyalty oath required for admission?
I was at the camp ground where the osmond brothers performed in 2004. I saw sonny osmond pull up in a toyota and get out. That did it for me, akmost lost my lunch. Yes they are a true example of republican american spirit. Now you repubs remember what has gone on for the last few years when Obama gets to town and tells you to sit down shut up and hold on!
Dear John C.
How many times has Marie Osmond been married? I’ll give them credit for their successful show biz careers and at least the Osmonds are only married to one person at a time.
Dear A. Centrist -
How is it incongruous to be pro-choice and in favor of adoption? It sounds like from your post that you are anti-choice including adoption.
I would think that an anti-choice person would applaud Ms. Crow for adopting a child and giving it an opportunity for a good future.
Golly gee, gosh, shucks, the Osmond Brothers will be singing at a McCain rally. I mean, shucky dern, Senator McCain may want to have his sugar levels checked before and after.
Is this really a “secret signal” that Senator McCain will be picking Mitt “the Mormon Haircut” Romney for his Veep?
