Schlafly cheers Palin’s place on the ticket

DENVER — Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly, whose ideas about feminism have riled many, embraced the choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as John McCain’s No. 2. 
“She is a complete package,” Schlafly said by phone from St. Paul, where she is getting a head start on next week’s GOP convention. “She is right on all the issues, particularly pro-life and drilling for oil.”
The approval of Schlafly, head of the Alton-based Eagle Forum, could signal to other conservatives on the fence that it’s OK to embrace the McCain ticket.
On the other hand, Schlafly said one of the other names up for veep consideration, erstwhile Democrat Joe Lieberman, would have been a non-starter.
“Lieberman was not acceptable under any circumstances,” Schlafly said.
Schlafly is worthless.
She encourages women to take advantages of the rights feminism has won for us all, and then use their position to decry the value of feminism.
She’s the worst kind of hypocrite.
They do appear to be a conflicted bunch. Mrs. Schlafly, shouldn’t Patin be more concerned about finding more time to spend with her special needs newborn baby instead of desires for the Vice Presidency? And what kind of foolish man (John McCain)would even seek out a woman who had just given birth to a baby with Down’s Syndrome (a special needs baby) as his running mate. These people don’t make any sense.
This poor lady’s husband, Mr. Palin. So disappointing to see such hypocrites screaming “Family Values”.
She is a hypocrite, but not for the reasons above. She endorsed Jane Cunningham for Senate over Gina Loudon, a mother of five, one with down syndrome. Seems she thought a young mother should stay at home. Hmmm.
Schlafly admires Palin’s high Quakerish hair.
I was waiting for a quote that said “she reminds me so much of myself when I was that age…”
Ms. Palin is a creationist, supported by Big Oil and other GOP interests, and will rant on about how unlucky women are in America to not be barefoot and pregnant while taking down big bucks from her far right bigoted evangelical supporters.
Egad! Palin IS Schlafly!
And John McCain is STILL too ignorant to be Preident!
