They’re back: Rolla’s Rednecks for Obama
DENVER — Remember these guys: “Rednecks for Obama,” the Rolla, Mo. Democrats who debuted outside a Barack Obama event last month.
They’ve taken their show on the road to Denver, where Tony Viessman, a 74-year-old retiree from the state Highway Patrol, and his partner, Les Spencer, attracted plenty of new fans outside the Democratic Convention with their t-shirt giveaway.
The pair, though, made sure they covered their expenses.
“We had about 50 t-shirts, we gave most of them away,” Viessman said. “We sold enough to get gas money back home.”
