Aloha: St. Louis native Lingle to introduce Palin tonight?
The Honolulu Advertiser reports that Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle — a St. Louis native — will make the much-anticipated introduction tonight of veep nominee Sarah Palin at the GOP convention in St. Paul.
Palin and Lingle share similar stories: Both are female Republican governors of non-contiguous states, both started out as journalists, and both began their political careers in the mayor’s office.
(In vastly different climates, of course. Palin was mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, home of the Iditarod dog sled race; Lingle was mayor of the island paradise Maui.)
Lingle — whose father ran a drug store on Delmar and Union in the West End — was also with Palin at a governor’s conference in Dallas earlier this year, when she began to go into labor with son Trig.

Well, why doesn’t John just slap all of us moderate Republicans in the face? You know that part of our party that cares about many more issues than just abortion. If the Honorable Gov. Lingle introduces Palin it will remind many of us that there were much more qualified choices for McCain…because one will be walking off the stage as Palin walks on. John’s pick of Palin is one thing and one thing only, RED MEAT for the FAR-RIGHT of our party. Give me Hutchison, give me Lingle….but give me Palin and I’ll give myself a break from voting.
My friend Dave, from Waipiu, says Lingle will not be back next time. She has gone out of her way to _iss of the native people from Hawai’i in favor of big time construction on sacred soil.
Can you say ‘one-termer’?
Did you hear, she is in her second term. Left wingers will say anything to degrade a woman who is not from their party and doesnt fit their profile of a feminist.
