ST. PAUL – Gov. Matt Blunt, at the XCel center to hear veep nominee Sarah Palin’s speech to the GOP, said she succeeded in reaching out to the heartland.Matt Blunt

“She had a great message tonight. She did a great job of taking on the elitism of the opponent,” Blunt said. “She reached out to all of those small-towns in Missouri and America. I don’t think the Democrats really understand small-town America. That’s where the heart of our country is. A lot of people there can relate to Sarah Palin.”

Oh yes we’ve heard this from Matt Blunt before.
Forget about those big cities, those are the places Republicans chose not to live in.
According to Blunt Only the good, honest and patriotic Americans live in rural America, everywhere else is for the sinners. What horrible cesspools of blueness those urban areas are.

Blunt just shows more of his ignorance.

McCain is STILL too ignorant to be President!

If McCain is “too ignorant” to be President, Obama is too corrupt. Obama played ball with the most corrupt political machine in the country while being a “community organizer” for ACORN’s Project Vote.

Project Vote was the target of Federal investigators here in Missouri for submitting fraudulent new voter registrations. ACORN is a far-left group of union activists and race-baiters that have attempted to steal elections all over the country. Obama’s association with Bill Ayres, Rev. Wright and Fr. Pfliger is far more troubling than Sarah Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy and her ethics probe in Alaska.

Of course, the mainstream media will ignore Obama’s foibles and continue to beat up on a woman who happens NOT to be a “progressive”. Where are the feminist groups like NOW in defending Palin against “sexist” attacks? No where to be found. NOW and their ilk only defend left-wing pro-choice women and berate conservative feminists. Can you say PHONEY?

I guess it’s time to remind everyone about the “Keating 5″ scandal. John McCain sold his influence to the savings and loan industry in return for political contributions to his campaign. The heads of the S&L’s then raided the coffers of the S&L’s for shady development deals like shopping malls and golf courses. As a result, tens of thousands of retirees lost all of their money kept in these institutions when they went under. Pres. Bush’s son, Neil, was part of this scandal altho he was never investigated. TALK ABOUT CORRUPTION!!!

Matt…McCain chose a Governor from a state with small demographics. Why were’nt you on statge last night as the new rising star?

I don’t see how playing ball with a fellow makes you corrupt. I can see how being the subject of an etics complaint when the facts are that you fired a person for not firing the man that just happened to be divorcing your sister could be considered corruption. It certainly is not ethical to use your political office for personal gain and that is exactly what Palin was doing. I’m happy that the Director of Public Safety recorded the phone calls from the Governor’s office or she would still be denying it happened. The recorded phone call resulted in a paid vacation for one of her minions that was doing her dirty work. If that advisor had not been doing what Palin told him to do, he would have been out the door the very next day. The Director of Public Safety wasn’t placed on paid administrative leave. Being the subject of an ethical complaint demonstrates corruption. Playing ball with another person demonstrates what?

“plentytosay” — Palin and Blunt: Both are successful, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family Red State governors. I see why someone like you would hate that.

Lots of Lefties in here, it seems. A little bitter that your boy Jay Nixon is turning out to be a robo-calling math flunkie? Way to paint Blunt and all Republicans as “ignorant” - he’s leaving our state better than Bob Holden ever did. Remember that next time you throw stones.
