ST. PAUL – Gov. Matt Blunt, at the XCel center to hear veep nominee Sarah Palin’s speech to the GOP, said she succeeded in reaching out to the heartland.
“She had a great message tonight. She did a great job of taking on the elitism of the opponent,” Blunt said. “She reached out to all of those small-towns in Missouri and America. I don’t think the Democrats really understand small-town America. That’s where the heart of our country is. A lot of people there can relate to Sarah Palin.”
