Carnahan joins the Democrats lobbing “Lipstick” lines
U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, served Tuesday as the Democratic surrogate taking on the Republican ticket’s vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
The congressman said her selection showed that McCain “buckled to the right wing of his party,’’ especially since Palin had “zero experience in foreign affairs.”
“There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick,’’ Carnahan said, igniting cheers.
Carnahan’s comments allowed the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joe Biden, to avoid any direct jabs at Palin, and instead focus on the GOP nominee for president, John McCain.
The same wasn’t true of the Democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama, who ignited GOP ire Tuesday over his own “lipstick on a pig” comment.

Palin started the stand-up comic routine last week. Now it isn’t funny.
What’s with her Squeeky Fromm voice? Sounds like Olive Oil. It’s becoming the most irritating aspect of the campaign except for McCain’s phrase “My Freinds”. And What’s with Sarah Palin’s tight skirt and 4 inch heels? This isn’t a beauty contest. Besides, it gives her a bubble-butt…Her skirt is so tight she can hardly walk. She takes short little steps. Her walk reminds me of UnderDog’s cartoon girl friend Penelope….
The GOP wishes the lipstick line was about Palin, so they have manufactured a controversy to make it look like we’re dragging their little darlin’ through the mud by her ponytail. Meanwhile, there is NO QUESTION that the charge of legislating mandatory sex education to kindergartners was made against Obama the same day. A complete work of fiction by the republican lie machine. Where is the ire?
This guy has got to go! He actually has the audacity to talk about Palin’s record? He has no record to speak of! Here’s a list of what he’s done for the people of Missouri in 4 years: He renamed a post office, IN KANSAS CITY, and he got an arterial road built in Jefferson County. WOW!!!
People of the 3rd district, we’ve got to get him out of office now!!! I’m an independent, but I saw a guy who is running against him that is right on target with what we want in a Congressman. His name is Chris Sander. He’s a CONSERVATIVE to the core! but he’s not a politician. At least what I could tell, he doesn’t have an ego and he definately isn’t a friend of Washington. He even supports the unions! (I know this because I ran into him at the teamsters rally a few weeks back)
If you truly want change, start by voting Carnahan out now!
Its obvious that the Obama supporters knew that he was making a reference about Gov. Palin as they laughed and cheered before he delivered his punchline. Regardless if he or McCain used the comment in the past many critics have agreed, Democrats and Republicans alike, that it was a stupid comment to make so soon after Palin’s famous lipstick joke. This isn’t the first time Obama has been accused of making sexist comments. What’s his problem with white, successful women?

This Karl Rove controlled partnership between McCain/Palin will truthfully set back women 100 years and there are so many blind to that FACT. But, not only will it set women back but every working class family, man, women and child.
