Carnahan joins the Democrats lobbing “Lipstick” lines
U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, served Tuesday as the Democratic surrogate taking on the Republican ticket’s vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
The congressman said her selection showed that McCain “buckled to the right wing of his party,’’ especially since Palin had “zero experience in foreign affairs.”
“There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick,’’ Carnahan said, igniting cheers.
Carnahan’s comments allowed the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joe Biden, to avoid any direct jabs at Palin, and instead focus on the GOP nominee for president, John McCain.
The same wasn’t true of the Democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama, who ignited GOP ire Tuesday over his own “lipstick on a pig” comment.

SAME THING WITH PIGS WITH LIPSICK:
“LAY DOWN WITH PIGS WITH LIPSTICK YOU STILL COME UP WITH (SHE-IT)”.
“IF YOU LAY DOWN WITH DOGS, YOU WILL COME UP WITH FLEAS”!D. Walker
You mean like Wright, Ayres, Rezcko? Those three dogs have a lot of fleas and your boy is known to lay with them as well as other nutjobs of Chicago.
For the record, It didn’t bother me one bit that Obama used “lipstick on a pig” remark.
It does bother me deeply that Russ Carnahan can impersonate a Congressman.
“Whew, and I’m nuts.” — D. WALKER 12:24 am September 1st, 2008
D. WALKER, Please more, more, more of your cut-n-paste Obama talking points!
Can you please, please, please go back to the old ways and give us more of your old Scripture mis-interpretations?

“McCain/Palin will truthfully set back women 100 years…” This is the same type of idiotic comment Joe Biden made yesterday. A woman as Vice President of the United States is anything BUT a step backwards for women.
You can spam the blogs with as much rhetoric as you like it still won’t change the facts. This is just another example of the sexism in the Obama camp.
For the record that arterial road the Congressman helped get built was very important. The roads in the county are old and poorly built. There are countless car accidents, and many unnecessary deaths on the back roads of Jefferson County because no one was bringing in the federal money to improve them. By doing that Carnahan has potentially saved lives.
Hate him all you want for other things, but that was a huge boon to those of us in the southern part of the third district.
Jeffco….the Ditto Heads would rather Carnahan provide funding for building Halliburton roads in Iraq.
Of which road do you speak?

Route MM
It’s one of the only sizable east-west routes in the county. And it needed a lot of work. People died on that road all the time. It had large ditches on the sides, with no guardrails. It’s a very windy road, and almost impossible to navigate safely in the rain, or at all in the winter.
And it’s safer now.
I posted this line on another blog thread yesterday. I guess I was a bit ahead of the curve on this topic.
I put lipstick on my pitbull last week. Got calls from the McCain people to see if she was qualified for their VP spot. After I advised them that my pitbull was spayed the McCain people told me that would not go over well with the GOP conservative base. I guess Sarah Palin is their type of pitbull.
Jeff County, I traveled that road everyday for 2 summers. Sometimes I was driving a loaded down 1 ton dump truck pulling a bobcat on a trailer. I know what kind of road MM was. The upgrade is welcome, but it was indeed safe enough for 99.9% of sane drivers. You have knuckleheads driving on every road in the county. That one wasn’t any different.
In the end, good for Jefferson County.
