Phyllis Schlafly, founder of the Eagle Forum, was among the delegates and alternates from Missouri and other states who attended the opening party Sunday night at the  Minneapolis Convention Center.

The party was meshed with the region’s Civic Fest, a fabulous display of historic memorabilia (a mock-up of Air Force and FDR’s bona fide presidential limo among them) and videos.

CNN just annouced that Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter Bristol, a high school senior is pregnant with child. There was also a rumor that had been going around that this daughter was really the mother of the “Down’s Syndrome” baby. Hopefully this news will put to rest that nasty rumor since it would have been an impossibility since the teenage daughter is 5 months pregnant and Sarah’s the mother’s baby is 4 months old.

But, shouldn’t queen Palin be focusing on finding more time to spend with her “special needs” baby seeing now how important it is to be there for your children at all times, even Phyllis Schlafly and her husband should now recognize the need to really be there for your children.

Why did James Dobson, “Focus on The Family” through his beliefs that he has been preachong for ever down the drain by supporting Sarah Palin for Vice Prseident? The Evangelical Conservative Right, what a strange, strange bunch they are, do these people really believe and live any of the moral beliefs that they attempt to force upon others?

Now that “Pro-Life” Evangelical Christian mother, Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter is pregnant, MAYBE? This country can have some REAL LIFE discussion concerning what kind of sex education is needed in our schools and what role parents must take in their children lives on this subject.

D., please stop concern-trolling about how Palin can’t be vice-president because she has a “special needs” child. There are plenty of reasons why McCain and Palin should never get near the White House, and even if there weren’t, you shouldn’t stoop to a sexist argument like the one that you are making. Please stop.

D, usually I don’t respond to your inane posts. But this is beyond repulsive. Let’s count the ways:

1.) “shouldn’t queen Palin”-great way to try and minimalize her accomplishments. She’s just a beauty queen-no substance whatsoever, huh?

2.) “finding more time to spend with her ’special needs’ baby”-so, after all the years of women fighting for the right to be mothers AND have careers, we’re going to trot that out? Why does nobody ever ask the Messiah how he can find the time to save the world when he has two young children of his own, and yet both he and his wife work full-time? Oh, that’s right. The Messiah is a man, so apparently he’s not as important in the life of the child. Or maybe there’s such a thing as being able to balance work and career for both sexes and not just men.

3.) “Now that ‘Pro-Life’ “…Well, let’s see. 5 children. Doesn’t support abortion. And she has not only talked the talk but walked the walk in her personal life by choosing life when pro-choicers might have aborted the children. Why does pro-life need quotes around it?

For someone who gets on here constantly and preaches about everything and anything, you certainly seem to be able to turn on a dime against someone who isn’t on your favored ticket. And now that the Republicans have had the temerity to put a woman on the ticket, you’re now going to trot out the sexist and anti-religious statements that prove you to be nothing more than a fraud when it comes to your “convictions”. Class act, you are.

Meanwhile, there’s 10,000 people protesting the war in St. Paul, and brutal “preemtpive” attacks on peaceful protesters by the FBI. But rather than cover actual news, we instead get political celebrities spouting their usual talking points. I can’t remember who said it, but it’s true; the conventions are like the prom for the the media.

Schlafly will turn off those independents who might be leaning towards McCain/Palin ticket. They should keep her under wraps.
