Emerson tapped for Palin “Truth Squad”
With the national press corps parachuting into Anchorage and conspiracy theories flying across cyberspace, the GOP has formed a coalition to stand-up for veep nominee Sarah Palin. 
Among the 20 members of Palin’s national “Truth Squad” — all females — is U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, a Republican from Cape Girardeau.
“We will not allow those on the left and in the media to smear a woman who has always served her constituents with honor,” said former Massachusetts Gov. Jane Swift, another Squad member in a statement Tuesday. “We know the truth and are committed to ensuring it as well.”
As the Riverfront Times points out, bogus pictures like this one have been circulating the Internet such Palin joined the ticket.
Far more substantive, however, is a story on the front page of yesterday’s Washington Post that examined Palin’s travel expenses as governor of Alaska.
Earlier in the campaign, presidential nominee John McCain formed his own “Truth Squad” in an attempt to knock down stealth opposition in the primary.
McCain, perhaps more than most candidates, knows the damage viral political attacks can inflict — his 2000 bid for the presidential nominee was torpedoed by a smear campaign in South Carolina.
Can’t wait to see how Palin’s (Karl Rove) Truth Squad will attempt to SPIN the travel expenses she build her state while she was staying in her own primary home.
Everyone can see that the pictures were a fake and is why I never even bothered to mention those pictures, all with the same exact head-shot. Most people are not that stupid, even though some pretend to be.

How are they going to spin the cheif that Palin claimed to have fired and how she bet her children missed this chef’s cooking, when IT WAS A LIE, and where this same cook was just reassigned but, still continued to cook for Palin’s children.

The Neo-femi-nazis didn’t mind Hillary getting smeared from the Right. So much for the “Truth Squad”…The same group of women who criticized Hillary for not wanting to stay home and bake cookies. The same group of women who admired Nancy Reagan for recognizing her role as First Lady which consisted of selecting the White House china.

Garrison, prove that the right accused Hilary Clinton of not “staying home and baking cookies”. You’re taking a comment that Hilary made and twisting it into a Republican comment. Nice try. Scrutiny of Palin’s record is reasonable, just like it’s reasonable (and common) to have foot soldiers out there refuting any lies that are brought up.

Notice the comments by the chef in question who mentioned her last day of work. This is why Palin needs the “truth police”…to refute comments like yours.

Why spread lies about Palin when the truth provides a wealth of material? Sane women who are still upset about Hillary could not possibly vote for the Republican ticket if they care anything about women’s rights and humanitarian values.
