ST. PAUL — This just in: Kenny Hulshof, the GOP nominee for governor, will be here tomorrow.
Details to follow.
UPDATE: Hulshof spokesman Scott Baker said the congressman will arrive in Minneapolis midday Wednesday and stay through Thursday morning.
He’ll be here for the delegation breakfast, where he plans to speak. On Wednesday, he hopes to meet up with several governors to discuss various issues. For example, he’s looking to chat with Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue about a jobs program.
Will Hulshof be raising campaign money while in the Twin Cities as some Democratic candidates — including rival Jay Nixon — did while in Denver?
“Raising money is not the reason he’s going up there,” Baker said.
Hulshof will not be holding any fundraisers at the convention, Baker said.
But, when asked, Baker acknowledged that Hulshof wouldn’t turn down any checks, either.
