Joyce on “Truth Squad”: Not about prosecuting people

St. Louis Circuit Jennifer Joyce has been caught in a dust-up over her presence on a “Truth Squad” for Barack Obama.

Now, here is a statement from Joyce:
As a citizen, I believe that elections should be about issues. I also have enormous respect for our First Amendment and freedom of speech. My sole purpose in participating in this initiative is about getting truthful information to the voters. This has never been or never will be about prosecuting people.
Clearly there are those who are attempting to twist the purpose of this initiative for their own benefit. This attack is a great example of how the truth is distorted in campaigns and what we’re trying to stand up against.
Can anybody confirm rumor that Charlie Brennan/KMOX is refusing to book David Freddoso? Are they cowing to fears of a targeted attack … similar to what Team Obama’s did to WGN (see link) ?

Then, Jennifer Joyce, explain to me why the KMOV report, in which you were featured, states that the Obama campaign is asking Missouri “law enforcement” to “target” people. The report specifies and interviews you, Jennifer Joyce, along with Bob McCulloch, in your roles as “two high-profile prosecutors.” The report quotes you two as saying that you “plan to respond immediately” in your role as prosectuors.

Your pathetic attempt to cover your tracks is far too little, far too late. 55 years of life in the United States of America, in my darkest nightmares did I ever think I’d live to see the day that goons….goons with law enforcement powers would be running “Truth Squads”? True Americans know how this story plays out… Truth Squads, Reeducation Camps and finally the Gas Chamber. Anyone with an ounce of sanity must now do what needs to be done. Nip this in the bud and nip it quickly and completely.
Comrade Jen, I assume you are an elected official, while I am not a resident of the Great State of Missouri, I am now very interested in your “career”. I shall gladly and freely donate the maximum funds permissible by law to whomever is your next opponent. If you win re-election, I’ll donate again to your opponent when the next cycle rolls around. I will continue until you are defeated or until I breathe my last breath of free air.

You have just participated in an activity designed to terminate our rights under the First Amendment and I would hope that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. St. Louis is one of the highest crime areas in the United States. Your resources could better be used to attempt to do something about that issue. Regardless of who is running against you next time, I will support them with my time and my money. You obviously prefer presidential campaigning to fulfilling your responsibilities to Missouri residents so I would strongly suggest that you resign and go work for Obama without delay. Missouri DOES NOT NEED YOU.
