Joyce on “Truth Squad”: Not about prosecuting people
St. Louis Circuit Jennifer Joyce has been caught in a dust-up over her presence on a “Truth Squad” for Barack Obama.
For the background, see Jo Mannies’ post below.
Now, here is a statement from Joyce:
As a citizen, I believe that elections should be about issues. I also have enormous respect for our First Amendment and freedom of speech. My sole purpose in participating in this initiative is about getting truthful information to the voters. This has never been or never will be about prosecuting people.
Clearly there are those who are attempting to twist the purpose of this initiative for their own benefit. This attack is a great example of how the truth is distorted in campaigns and what we’re trying to stand up against.

Here is some truth for you. Check out Gaddafi’s speech on June 11, 2008. Gaddafi proclaims terrorist countries have contributed to Obaba’s campaign. He also calls Obama a Muslim brother. He says all the people of the Arab and Islamic nations applaud Obama. Is this the kind of leader we really want for our country. Obama is a smooth talker when it comes to giving a speech. He could convince most Americans that you and him were twins separated at birth. But talk is cheap. Our country is in trouble. America better wake up!
Well said, Scott H. in Florida!

“What the holy hell are you talking about? Are you the Blog Cop now? You suffer from delusions of grandeur.’
o Nice try but it won’t sell. Besides, I’m the second one to mention it, as I cited in my post to the moderator, a fact you conveniently ignored. The first was — Mary F. at 6:03 am September 29th, 2008.
o Where’s your outrage about the post by Mary F. Scroll up to read it.
o I posted several times about my suspicions, Scroll up to see those. Seeing no change in behavior, I reread the Rules of the Road. I did not see a way to contact the moderator off line so posted to get the moderators attention. I stated my suspicions and pointed out what I felt was the evidence. I suggested the moderator review the posts. It’s up to the moderator to take whatever action is deemed appropriate, I’m just a casual observer.
“I believe you are an idiot, and I have as much proof as you do that the board is infiltrated by paid posters.”
o Actually I expect you have more proof than me that the board has been infiltrated. Paid or volunteers, doesn’t really make any difference because the intent is the same - disrupt attempts to exchange via legitimate posting by flooding the forum with vile, viscous posts filled with outright and subtle accusations and lies. Reduce or stamp out the flow of info that counters the McCain campaign’s misconceptions and lies about Obama.
Good work detective. How is it you can spot a phony moonbat so easily, but probably have never met a real conservative? Any minute now I know your going to give us this list of “well known code words”
o Kind of a rough way to congratulate me but I accept your pat on the back.
o As for conservative my best friend is a conservative, pretty dug in and civil in our political discussions.
o Don’t be coy, you know the code words like a pro.
“Just because some posters dont wish to participate in your moonbat circle jerk, doesnt mean they dont want to engage in discussion.”
o Not just some but the overwhelming majority of the newbies. In addition, there’s also posting with references to other posters that did not post on this forum.
o Kinda fishy - you know, quacks like a duck - Quack.
-> I thought I knew all the political terms but this new one, circle jerk, has me stumped.
-> Please tell me how it relates to your political life.
-> Then tell me how it relates to your social life
“Why dont you just send a list to Jennife Joyce, she can sort it out and prosecute the offenders. Its not like we have any other crimes in St Louis to deal with.”
o I’ll leave that to you. Perhaps you can get her to count it as your community service for the week.
o More false outrage - you know, it’s a duck.
- if it looks like a duck
- and quacks like a duck
- then it’s a duck
I’m confident I know what’s happening.
“Actually I expect you have more proof than me”
My statement was I have more proof you are an idiot than you do the board has been infiltrated, thanks for confirming I was right, you are an idiot.
“Paid or volunteers, doesn’t really make any difference because the intent is the same - disrupt attempts to exchange via legitimate posting by flooding the forum with vile, viscous posts filled with outright and subtle accusations and lies. ”
You must be talking about the Obama campaign sending out alerts telling supporters to flood the phone lines of WGN radio in Chicago when authors writing investigative books about Obama are on. Or the Obama campaign lawyers threatening the broadcast licenses of stations who run ads Obama doesnt like.
McCain Supporters
Pep Talk
o I know it must be disheartening to see so much daylight between candidates in the polls.
o It must have been particularly frustrating last week when McCain tried a power play on the debates, then blinked and participated. Just the spine I want in my #1 sitting across the table from Vladimir Putin - a #1 that blinks over showing up for a debate.
o Then there’s debate#1, where Obama took McCain to school despite the 100 minute McCain snub. Oh, that’s another thing. I want a #1 that looks right into the bad guys eyes, rather than somebody that doesn’t even have the backbone to look at a United States Senator during a 100 minute debate.

“My statement was I have more proof you are an idiot than you do the board has been infiltrated”
o Just for grins, here’s the quote of your statement.
“I believe you are an idiot, and I have as much proof as you do that the board is infiltrated by paid posters.”
o I diagrammed the sentence and sure enough, you were referring to the board and infiltration.
o Perhaps you should consider an English refresher course with section that concentrates on punctuation and sentence structure.
“Obama campaign sending out alerts telling supporters to flood the phone lines of WGN radio in Chicago when authors writing investigative books about Obama are on. Or the Obama campaign lawyers threatening the broadcast licenses of stations who run ads Obama doesnt like.”
o I don’t know about Chicago, but I do know about truth. When somebody publishes lies about you, you have the right to defend yourself. Or does that only apply for Republicans?
o If it is true, then it’s not proper behavior. Give me a credible link to the Obama campaign’s alert? Without a credible link you’re just posting another false innuendo.

“Fess up, you’re on Obama’s payroll. PS. If you aren’t, you should be, as far up his backside your nose is.”
If this foolishness about a nose is supposed to hurt my feelings in some way I assure you it does not.
as for me
o I’m 3 letters here.
o In real life I’m a citizen posting for myself, solo, without any formal affiliation to either candidate and without any communications with either candidate, their organization or their party.
o I started exploring these PD forums after Republicans nominated their VP and steam started coming out of my ears.
o Readers have no way to verify my bio but I assure you it’s the truth.

STL, Just giving you a dose of your medicine. You seem to be practicing the same tactics as the phony “truth squad.” Just because you don’t like what the folks are typing, you question their validity. Many, many people choose to question the use of prosecutors in a clear attempt to stifle speech and you can’t counter their posts, but you sure can accuse them of being paid assassins. Maybe you should be a little more tolerant to the rights of others to speak their minds.
So fine, talk amongst yourselves. Blah, Blah.
The real way to stomp on these fascist obamabots is to go after them directly and not ever let these traitors to American values walk away or let the issue fade in any of its manifestations, particularly the use of public office and authority to “thug” or intimidate anybody. A subtext of police authority is state and police “discretion” making your life uncomfortable. Everybody knows a story of this, so the threat is plausible. An ethical DA would never get involved in overt political activity on one side of an election. This is really unprecedented in my experience.
How any Jew can vote for a politican who persistantly tries to silence dissent using proxy thug squads (e.g. makes implicit threats against many TV and radio stations) is beyond me. It reeks of 1932 in Germany.
I wouldn’t be here if my grandmother hadn’t gotten the hell out of Poland, but we Americans are not a minority among a hate filled majority. This is really the far left, public employees and academics, all of whom are already on the public teat and want more of everything. But this is our country…we just can’t run away from these bums. This fight needs to be taken to them, enemies of our treasured freedoms, and now is the time. For starters, stop taking to people who agree with you. Instead, write, complain, write some more…demand action on and against these brownshirts. Write the Missouri Attorney General and write the US Department of Justice. I did, it didn’t take long. What the hell are you waiting for?
