Joyce on “Truth Squad”: Not about prosecuting people

St. Louis Circuit Jennifer Joyce has been caught in a dust-up over her presence on a “Truth Squad” for Barack Obama.

Now, here is a statement from Joyce:
As a citizen, I believe that elections should be about issues. I also have enormous respect for our First Amendment and freedom of speech. My sole purpose in participating in this initiative is about getting truthful information to the voters. This has never been or never will be about prosecuting people.
Clearly there are those who are attempting to twist the purpose of this initiative for their own benefit. This attack is a great example of how the truth is distorted in campaigns and what we’re trying to stand up against.
How do we know she’s lying?
Her lips are moving.
Another typical scum-bucket liberal lawyer, trying to take away the rights of ordinary folks.
Someone should let the democrats no that this is not the primary where they got away with silencing the voters’ voices and democracy! NO Way, NO How, NOJoe, NObama, McCain/Palin 08 in the spirit of 18 million+ cracks in that glass ceiling!
The reason you have angry non-locals showing up here is because THE ENTIRE NATION IS NOW WATCHING YOU and what is being called Obama’s Missouri Goon Squad. Aren’t you proud? Hurry up and do your part to turn this nation into a Third-world police state, that will cure our immigration problem real fast. You Dems THINK you’re electing and defending an American Mandela, but Obama is proving more to be the next Mugabe. Stop now and regain your sanity and principles.
“My sole purpose in participating in this initiative is about getting truthful information to the voters.” Lady, it is not your job to get truthful information to the voters. It is wrong that you should wake up tomorrow with your job. Gov Blunt’s statement may be setting you up for criminal charges of violating civil rights. Good!

At times like this when tyrants attack the rights provided by the first ammendment, the importance and the founder’s rationale for the second ammendment becomes crystal clear.
I doubt it is any accident that it is preceded only by the first ammendment.

why are you protecting only Obama? not Palin whos been slandered worse than O’Brian, um I mean Obama, it is 2008 and not 1984 after all, right?
Palin’s not being slandered, she’s being thrown under the bus by consevatives like the WSJ, Kathleen Parker (whose column calling for Palin to quit was NOT run in the Lee Publications gonna-endose-John-BushMcCain Post-Dispatch!)and Sen. Hagel(ranking GOP member of the US Senate Foregn Relations Committee).
