Lame duck status doesn’t keep Gov. Blunt from St. Paul

ST. PAUL — While we wait for details of Kenny Hulshof’s arrival at the GOP Convention, here is footage shot yesterday of the man he hopes to replace, Gov. Matt Blunt, in Minnesota.

Why would lame duck states keep him from the convention? After all, Governor Blagojevich was in Denver, right?

Exactly - what kind of reporting is this? Are we to assume that, since the Governor isn’t running again, that he would stay away from the biggest event of the year for this party? What? Give me a break!

Adam, I’m sure in your perfect world, the gov — or the “lame duck,” as you so objectively put it — would fade away, but last I checked, he’s still the governor of a state that has a GDP worth $229 billion. Not to mention that along with Jindal, he’s one of the GOP’s youngest and most policy-oriented governors.
