UPDATE: NO Lt Gov debate set for next week

Apparently, in Political Fix’s rush to get you the news, we made an error.
According to a spokesman for Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, a Republican, there is NO debate next Wednesday with his Democratic challenger, state Rep. Sam Page.
The release announcing the debate came from the Betty Jean Kerr Scholarship Foundation, which according to a release “provides non-traditional scholarships to students who pursue degrees in Health Sciences.”
The one-hour debate was to focus on various issues, and was to be held next Wednesday at the Hyatt Regency Union Station in St. Louis.
We’ll check with Page to see if he was, or is, planning to attend.
Funny Jo, but it seems you left out Peter Kinder’s profession.

In 1979 Kinder graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1980.
PAGE LOSES!!! That will be the headline the next day if Page does not do a better job than in his last debate. Peter KInder came out swinging last time, and Page was clearly not prepared to do battle. Looking like a “deer in the headlights” will not inspire confidence with the voters Mr. Page.
Kinder loses!! Who better to lead Missourians on issues of healthcare, the elderly, etc. than a doctor! Let’s look at their backgrounds. Page…extremely humble beginnings in Van Buren, MO. Worked his way thru college and med school. Has worked tirelessly fighting for the needs of Missourians in their struggle for affordable health care and education. Married with 3 little sons.
Kinder…Born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Has played the political game of attack and kick the opponent with no real solution or plan other than the status quo. Single…lives in the Central West End. Needs to come clean and “out” himself on his alternative lifestyle. Nothing wrong with being gay, Kinder just needs to be honest for once in his life.
