Nixon, Obama share the “change we need”
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Democratic nominee Jay Nixon’s latest ad has plenty of in common with Barack Obama, who is using the same mantra and a similar plank on economic issues.

I wonder how Jay Nixon would have stopped Ford and Chrysler from closing. His “job training” plan wouldn’t make one bit of difference.
And he wants to cut property taxes for seniors? That’s going to cost state and local governments. Where will that money come from? Obviously, he’ll have to raise taxes on the rest of us. So the senior, whose bought his house decades ago and has already paid it off, will get a tax cut, while the new homeowner, who bought at today’s high prices and is juggling a house payment, car payment, and the cost of raising a family, will have a tax increase to pay for it. Great idea, Mr. Nixon.
