Secretary of State Robin Carnahan is predicting a voter turnout in Missouri of about 76 percent on Nov. 4.

The estimate, which she puts out before each election, is based on a compilation of estimates from county clerks throughout the state. A record 4.2 million Missourians have registered to vote, Carnahan says. More than 300,000 of those are first-time voters.

The highest county turnout is predicted in St. Charles County at 90 percent, according to Carnahan. St. Louis County is predicting 85 percent.

If the prediction holds true, it would surpass voting in the 2004 election by about half a million voters statewide. In that election, about 2.7 million votes were cast for president in Missouri.

Doesn’t 4.2 million seem a little high a number for a state with a little over 5 million people?

.

‘. . her family gets two top political offices.” ?
.
o Guess what whiny - they were elected to the offices by Missouri voters
- I’m surprised you don’t know how it works
.
and there’s a bonus, whiny - If the voters are dissatisfied with their performance, then they are voted out.

“Has our Sec. of State done anything about ACORN’s false registrations?.”

I’m about to lose my marbles with all of this nonsense. The bottom line is this, Mickey Mouse, Joe Sixpack, or whoever was signed up by these fraudulent people that ACORN got ripped off by, CANNOT VOTE WITHOUT THEIR ID! ACORN was taken by these charlatans, they simply paid people to gather voter registrations, that’s all. So what’s the big hairy deal here? The ACORN organization got ripped off, plain and simple. Get off this stuff would you? Registration fraud doesn’t equate to voter fraud. I don’t think “the big rat” as McCain put it has a photo ID to present at the polling location.

Phony balogn-y. I noticed there is no mention of ACORN in the republican orchestrated post from St. Charles County about registration cards with allegedly false addresses turned in by the Obama campaign, although I’m sure Rich Chrismer’s hyper-vigilance was buoyed by the creation of the ACORN false registration = vote fraud boogeyman myth constantly perpetuated by the top of the ticket. God willing, that wind you koolaid drinkers are twisting in is just a storm of true democratic change blowing in.
