HRC in town Monday for Obama
Special to the Post-Dispatch

Clinton
U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will be in St. Louis on Monday to hold a rally for the man who defeated her for the Democratic presidential nomination — Barack Obama.
Clinton will headline a noon rally at the St. Charles Convention Center. Doors open at 11 a.m.
I am so sure that HRC is trilled to be campaigning for BHO. She can not stand him. You reap what you sew.
Sca–speaking of reaping what you sew, how are things looking for McCain and his stellar pick of Mooselini for the VP spot?
What’s that…? You say that more and more Repugnicans are calling her out daily for her lack of expertise and ability to fill the position…? What…she’s got more pending ethics charges against her in Alaska?
What?? A former Secretary of State under Reagan said that a McDonald’s manager is vetted more than Palin was for this position.
Keep babbling,Sca–you are good comic relief desperately needed right now.
Just curious . . what does it mean “to stump in STL for Obama” ? More specifically what does “stump” mean in this context?
Moose,
I understand that you do not like her and do not believe she is experienced to do the job. But, she is running for VP. Please enlighten us with your vast knowledge of why Sen. Obama is so qualified to be the President. I do not want talking point about what he says is going to do, I want what he as actually accomplished.
For the individual wondering about “stumping,” back in the day a candidate would go from town to town to campaign. If there was not a formal speaking platform set up, the candidate would simply find a handy tree stump to stand on to get himself above a crowd so they could see him. As a result, the canned speech a candidate would give became known as a “stump” speech and the act of campaigning became “stumping.” Similar reasons produced the phrase “to get on your soapbox” when giving your opinion because a politician might also stand on some kind of box to do the same thing.
I though ‘Stump’ had to do with her cankles…
Well, a woman should reap what she `sews,’ Sca — be it a sweater, a quilt or the like.
I just love living here with all the misogynists.
Now kids. Let’s play nice. We shouldn’t make fun of Hil’s cankles any more than we should BO’s big ears or Joe’s hair plugs or Johnny’s fat cheeks… (oopsies, what am I saying?)
How about the idea that Hil has nothing else to do, that she probably begged for a chance to get her cute little mug back on TV in the last days, if for no other reason to remind folks of what they could have had once the esteemed Senator from Illinois takes a tumble in the polls in the final days, loses to the old guy and the moose hunter, thereby starting her campaign for the 2012 nomination a mite early.
Food for thought?
If I was a democrat I’d be angry,
Obama or Hillary, poor choices if you ask me.
They sure know how to stir things up.
Don’t look for a modern day democrat
to pass the stink test anytime soon,
a self serving filthy lot..
WHY I AM VOTING FOR SEN. OBAMA SO AS TO FURTHER THE AGENDA OF DR. RON PAUL
SUMMARY
I love and respect Dr. Ron Paul and Ms. Carol Paul. They are wise, loving and courageous.
I am voting for Senator Obama because if I vote for my candidate of choice, Dr. Ron Paul, we might see a repeat of the last election and end up with a warmongering, inarticulate, Republican warmongering President who never really had to live in my shoes as a member of the struggling middle-class.
I believe that the American People are slowly becoming wise enough to see through the blatant manipulation of election results by the mainstream media that is owned and controlled by big business and by the two reigning political parties.
I am confident that by the next Presidential election in 2012 that the majority of American Citizens will know about:
1) the beliefs and record of Dr. Ron Paul;
2) the weakness of our present two party system; and
3) the existence and party platforms of other alternatives such as Green, Constitution and Libertarian parties. I am confident that the REVOLUTION Dr. Ron Paul started against the big business controlled media and two reigning political parties will continue to benefit our nation for the greater good.

Sincerely,
Dianne Pearce

We love Hillary and she knows quality and is working for it for all us Americans…so I hope we cant get out there and vote Obama. Hillary is the woman of the century in my view. She\\\’s got the heart and love for this country that takes her above the fray, and in that way she is like Obama. They live on a plane that inspires.
Hillary Rodham Clinton will be thrilled (not trilled) to be here campaigning for Senator Barack Obama because he is the unequivocally best person to take on the horrendous mess and huge problems left to our next United States President by the worst President in our history who is still continuing to pile on more problems in his last ditch effort to make all of his bad decisions permanent. Senator Obama is a brilliant scholar, a humanitarian, an honest and decent man who is respected around the world and he will bring respect and honor back to the White House and bring this country together instead of further tearing it apart.

If you have any questions about what he has already accomplished why not do a little research on all of his accomplishments from College through to today, instead of relying on phony ads, lies, personal attacks by people who don’t even know the U.S. Constitution or someone who now vows to take “Joe the so-called and now knighted ‘plummer’”, to the White House along with him (to serve in what capacity, this man who, lied about what he did, how much he earned and what he was going to buy in order to get a little attention and is now “signing autographs” and riding on the campaign bus)and 1 year Gov. Palin who thinks the VP runs the Senate?

I’m a little slow…Can you tell me a few of these accomplishments please? I’ve done quite a bit of research on him and can’t come up with anything. Thanks.

Hmmmm…how about defying all odds by running a hugely successful campaign and winning the White House? I’d say that is a pretty impressive accomplishment. Unlike Bush, Obama had every strike against him…and look at him now. Checkmate.

Yes, I guess running a campaign could be considered an accomplishment. But, hmmm, how do I say this, how does that actually qualify someone for BEING president?? Oh, and by the way, it has yet to be determined if the campaign was successful or he has won the White House. Perhaps we should wait until the actual election before we have his coronation.
I’m guessing Hillary will NOT be talking about Obama’s ILLEGAL ALIEN AUNT, in the US ILLEGALLY since 2004, and LIVING IN PUBLIC HOUSING.
That’s right.
But you probably won’t hear about it in the liberal media.
So check out the AP story for yourself:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27481680
This is the Obama way, folks. Your money, paying for housing for CRIMINALS.
HRC’s visit to Missouri to stump for Obama irritates anti-feminists and hater racists. Her unilateral commitment to party unity and political expediency is dynamically opposite their concepts of devisive bias and disunity. They’d ask Hillary, “why don’t you hate Obama?”
Hillary is a strong woman and a great soldier.
I wonder if she will reiterate what the other half of Billary said the other day, that when faced with a crisis, The Chosen One was clueless. He had to call everyone he knew to get a clue, including both halves of Billary.
Gosh, and I thought Halloween was last Friday!
Say Hogan and other Edwards supporters, you gotta be kicking yourselves right about now with Obama poised to win because you guys voted Edwards.
Hillary should have been the ‘08 candidate with Obama as VP - the Dems would have taken over the WH and Congress for 16 years. The GOP got a break and we’ll only have to tolerate the Dems for four or maybe 2.
How’d that Edwards vote work out for you guys?
I love reading how the next President will have this mess to clean up, didn’t Pelosi and Reid make it in the last 2 years? Things weren’t going great, but they have mess up our Economy really quick. Now they want to get their hands on more money. They have turned me off to the Democratic party. I don’t plan to be back anytime soon. Obama is not the answer folks. Two reasons to vote for McCain, he plays country before political affiliation and he has a proven track record.
The Obamination of America has already begun:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27481680
When even liberal msnbc (sometimes known as the media relations dept of the DNC) reports that Obama’s ILLEGAL ALIEN AUNT IS LIVING IN PUBLIC HOUSING, you know there’s more lurking in BHO’s closets.
Is taking American LEGAL taxpayer dollars and giving them to ILLEGAL aliens really “the change we need”??????????????????????????
Wouldn’t it be great if Hillary was honest with the people and just said that Obama is an idiot, lies consistently and that his agenda is not in the best interests of the country.
Brooks . . thanks for explaining what stump means. I’m new to all of this political “stuff”.
Wow. This woman was screwed by the extreme left of the Democratic party, once they decided that “the Chosen One” was their man. Anything she says to support Obama will be faint of heart.

Mooselini Hater…
LMAO…that was too funny to me. SCA…get it?
I think Hillary Clinton would be a better president than any of the other contenders, but even she is not going to convince me to vote for Obama. I hope she has a great career as a senate leader.
I’m frightened that “Joe the Plumber” is being viewed as someone with credentials in politics. The fact that Republicans are LISTENING to this “plumber” goes to show the idiocy involved in the Republican campaign. After living in St. Louis for 36 years I realize that while I have grown in mind and spirit, the majority of Missourians haven’t. I am embarrassed to live here and plan to leave one of the few remaining Red states. There is nothing more horrifying than being surrounded by people who support a “Country First” which really translates to “Me First, Looking Out For Number One” philosophy.
Um, Sca, the correct word is sow, not sew.
Let’s hope that Obama gets in so that the Dems can rebuild our country’s educational system, which the republicans have gleefully destroyed.
Sca–sure thing–I am sure you will have nothing but negative and sarcastic comments, but check out this link for Obama’s accomplishments:
http://wizbangblue.com/2008/01/13/obamas-illinois-record-of-accomplishments-and-working-with-the-other-side.php
By the way–as far as I am concerned, just the fact that he CORRECTLY was against the invasion of Iraq from Day One is sufficient enough for me…had Mooselini been in charge, you better believe we’d all be
“rapturing” right now after she brought on Armageddon.
I am disgusted with you mindless Repugnican drones who are so frickin hard-headed and illogical that you would even consider putting Palin in the White House given McCain’s age and health that it makes me wanna puke.
Country First my ***–that is the biggest crock since “Joe the Plumber.”
notes to Mooselini Hater and educator. MH: can’t make your point without using foul language and insults. So sad.
educator: move to California.

WOW–great comeback…if you think that *** (slang for “rear end”) is foul language, maybe you need to move back to Pleasantville–or can we assume that you already live in St. Charles???
With “debating” skills like that, you too could be the next VP candidate on the Repugnican ticket–I can make plenty of points w/out profanity–I just enjoy using it when discussing issues and people whom I loathe.
Moose,
That is a great list of accomplishments. The planned parenthood endorsement will look great on the resume’. Using public funds to pay for abortions is so cool.
The campaign finance is also great. Just as he indicated that he lied about taking public funding if he were the dem nominee and then did not.
All of those items listed where nice. I do have to admit you were the first person to even come up with anything on the subject. Although, that is in the Ill senate and it appears it is not working too well. Chicago and the state are still among the dirtiest political cities/state in the nation. The crime rate in Chicago is through the roof.

Nice come back. It appears more like the first move of a game instead of the last. That makes me feel so much better. I guess Karl Rove is very well thought of in your household as well. According to most of the people here, W is the worst preident every and he was able to get him elected twice. I guess you are not old enough or you memory no longer good enough to remember all the way back to 1976-1980 to a man named Jimmy Carter.

o Just as I posted you are not interested in a list of accomplishments, you just wanted somebody to do some busy work to give you some targets so you could shoot and get your jollies.
o And your responses are so original - right from the Republican talking points

Geez Sca, every wonder how you can be so blind to what so many can see?

In Springfield MO, Obama took the stage about 945p, 45 min later than originally planned. The rally was delayed because hundreds of people continued to shuffle into JFK Stadium.
Springfield Public Schools officials estimated the crowd between 35,000 and 40,000

Stl,
I read all of his accomplisments from the Ill Senate. Forgive me for not being impressed. I think it is a stepping stone to him being a good president with more experience on a national level and/or some executive experience.
He has been in the US senate for 4 years. He has yet to do anything except run for President. He indicates that he will work across party lines as president. I do not see any of that in his past. He is the most liberal Sen. in the US Senate per his voting record in the last four years.
We contiune to see the polls show that W’s approval rating is the lowest one can imagine. That is until you look at the approval rating for congress. This is why. The President can not pass laws. He has to wait for congress to send him something to sign. The do nothing dem controlled congress or the last two years have created a majority or the issues.
Barack Obama continues to talk about John McCain sided with the President 90% of the time. On the other hand, it appears that Obama has voted with the leaders of his own party more than 97% of the time. Who does it appear is more likly to work for the people and not just his own parties interest?
— Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum
“Your mission is to destroy the reputation of Gov Palin.”
.
Nope, she did it herself. Everybody thinks so. Here’s another one.
.
Ken Duberstein, former Reagan chief of staff, gives his nod to Barack Obama
. . . latest Republican . . . to take a shot at John McCain for selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate
.
The Palin pick, Duberstein said, “very much undermined the whole question” of McCain’s judgment. He added: You know what most Americans I think realized is that you don’t offer a job, let alone VP, to a person after one job interview. Even at McDonald’s, you’re interviewed three times before you get a job.”
.
